Christmas Party with Payatas Kids (December 12, 2009)

My headstrong barkada decided to have a Christmas Party with the children of Payatas whom we visited last October.

Everyone of us was involved in planning on which items to give to the children as christmas gift and which food to bring. Since they are students from a day care, we opted to provide them with school supplies.

We are very happy to see them once again especially those who became close to us during our first visit. After the party, we felt exhausted but very fulfilled since we were able to make the children happy and excited again to go to school since they have new school supplies.

UAAP Season 72 Women's Volleyball Game 2 - December 8, 2009

The second game of the day is between the Season 71 Champion DLSU Lady Archers and V-League Champion UST Tigresses. It was a very tight match that the game was extended to the 5th set with the Lady Archers claiming the first win. Stephanie Mercado was selected as the Player of the Game.

Taiwan Adventure - Day 3 National Palace Museum (November 30, 2009)

The next morning, we decided to visit the National Palace Museum, one of the largest museums in the world. The place is really beautiful!

Taiwan Adventure - Day 2 Modern Toilet (November 29, 2009)

We had our dinner in one of Taiwan's most famous restaurants, the Modern Toilet. This resto depicts and uses things usually found inside the toilet. The price of the food is quite reasonable considering that it already includes drinks and dessert.

Taiwan Adventure - Day 2 Chiang Kai Shek Memorial (November 29, 2009)

After the tour of the northeast, we decided to visit the Chiang Kai Shek Memorial since it is one of the most visited places in Taipei. We had a lot of picture shots there but most of them are using Mommy Barok's camera.

We did also go to the nearby Presidential Office Building and National Central Library.

Taiwan Adventure - Day 2 Yehliu Geological Park (November 29, 2009)

The tour then proceeded to the famous Yehliu Geological Park. It boasts of the different rock formations carved by erosion. It features the rock formation of an eqyptian queen's head, the very famous Queen Cleopatra.

Taiwan Adventure - Day 2 Chungcheng Park (November 29, 2009)

We decided to take a tour offered at the front desk of Lilai Hotel, the Northern Coast Tour. The first destination is the Chungcheng Park overlooking the Keelung Harbor. The park has several statues of Buddha and a huge statue of the Kuanyin, the Buddhist goddess of mercy.

Taiwan Adventure - Day 1 Taipei 101 (November 28, 2009)

After visiting Beitou, we decided to do night shots at Taipei 101. Taipei 101 is still considered as the tallest building in the world until January 2010 since it will be overtaken by Burj Dubai. Though not as photogenic as Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur because the building is not well lit, we still had some shots taken. We decided to have dinner at the nearby shopping center, New York New York.

Taiwan Adventure - Day 1 Beitou (November 28, 2009)

After having lunch at Ximending, we decided to go to Beitou, famous for hot springs. They have a museum exclusively for Hot Spring and how the hot spring industry was established.

Taiwan Adventure - Day 1 Ximending Market (November 28, 2009)

We woke up early so that we can go to a lot of places since Tin-tin and Hazel will just be in Taiwan for 2 whole days. We checked-out places near our "hotel" so look for places to eat and buy stuff. We ended up going to Ximending Market, one of the famous markets here in Taipei. The stores here are open from 1 o'clock in the afternoon until early hours of the following day. Ximending Market offers a lot of things especially those who are looking for clothes to buy.

Taiwan Adventure - Day 1 Simon Hotel (November 28, 2009)

We arrived in Taiwan around 1 o'clock in the morning. Very tired after the flight, we decided to go straight to our hotel (Lilai Hotel) but unfortunately they can't accommodate us yet since the check-in time is 1 o'clock in the afternoon. The reception in the lobby told us that we can check-in at a nearby hotel and then just transfer there in the afternoon. Since all of us are already sleepy, we decided to stay on the nearby hotel.

Upon check-in, we realized that the hotel is not an ordinary hotel, it's a motel type where each room has a theme. We got two rooms, the first one where I stayed is Japanese-inspired and the other one (I don't know the exact theme) has a chair especially for love making (boom boom! hehehe!)

Curious? Just check-out the picture here in this album. hehehehe...

Thanksgiving Party - Pormalan Theme

Spent the Thanksgiving weekend last November 21 with my headstrong behs at Katitay's house in Mandaluyong. This is like a get-together party since some of the behs don't usually attend the usual weekend gimiks.
