Cagayan de Oro and Camiguin Adventure Day 1 - May 6, 2010

First day of the adventure and our itinerary is to go to Camiguin first. We were a bit delayed in our trip since there was a problem with the check-in baggage of Faye. Her bag was left in Manila so we had to coordinate with the Cebu Pacific people to facilitate the transfer. We arrived in Camiguin around 2 o'clock in the afternoon and after we checked-in at Paras Beach Resort, we proceeded with our day tour around the Camiguin Island with our tour guide, Kuya Roger, who also arranged our land transfers for 2 days.

First in the list is the Guiob Church Ruins in Catarman, Camiguin. This was built in the 16th century and was detroyed by the eruption of Mt. Vulcan in the 1800s. Next in the list is the Sunken Cemetery with a big cross to mark the site of where the old cemetery. The Sunken Cemetery now is one of the world's unique diving sites. We had to leave the place right away because of heavy rains. We then went to Katibawasan Falls, a 250-feet falls and one of the treasured tourist spots in Camiguin. The water is too cold so we decided not to swim there. The last in the itinerary is the Ardent Hot Spring. This is a four-tiered pool with the water flowing from Mt. Hibok Hibok.

We ended the day with a chillaxed drinking session at the Paras Beach Resort where we saw Caloy, Carmi's long time barkada.
